Livies The Great Imposter CD, RN

                 "Bernie"

Bernie came to me as a pup.  We entered the obedience world and were a great team. As he grew older he started to have a few issues.  Stays were his worst.  Open was a heart break for the both of us.  Me, as I tried so hard to get his last leg, him,  as he worried when I was out of his sight.  Eventually the truth came out and we found that he has some pretty serious health issues.  He has since been retired and lives the life of luxury just hanging out  and taking life easy.   He is Dad's MotorHome Buddy and loves to go when Dad goes.

            "When I Got My New Dog"

I asked for strength that I might rear him perfectly;
I was given weakness that I might learn patience.
I asked for good health that I might rest easy;
I was given a "special needs" dog that I might know nurturing.
I asked for an obedient dog that I might feel proud;
I was given stubbornness that I might feel humble.
I asked for compliance that I might feel masterful;
I was given a clown that I might laugh.
I asked for a companion that I might not feel lonely;
I was given a best friend that I would feel loved.
I got nothing I asked for,
But everything that I needed.

Bernie swims as therapy. He just glides along and is happy as can be in the water.
